AIM Australia offer a high quality range of bar solder manufactured right here in Australia, from high grade quality raw materials. AIM’s bar solder has been specially designed and manufactured to produce dramatically less dross than typical bar.
Applications
Tin/lead solders offer several benefits for a variety of joining applications, including: a low melting range, making them ideal for joining most metals with no damage to heat-sensitive parts, easy joining and repair qualities, high electrical conductivity and a relatively strong joint at and below room temperature.
AIM bar solder is available in several alloys
60/40 and 63/37 Solders These solders are used in the stained glass industry and also for PCB assembly where a minimum of heat can be used to make the connection..
50/50, Aquasol and Econosol Solders Alloys for plumbing applications.
Low-Tin Solders Solders containing less than 5 percent tin are used for sealing pre-coated containers, coating and joining metals and for applications where the service temperatures exceed 250°F.
10/90, 15/85, and 20/80 Solders These solders are often used for sealing cellular automobile radiators. The high lead content offers good corrosion resistance.
Radiator Bar Solders including Sn20/Pb80, Sn25/Pb75, Sn30/Pb70, Sn35/Pb65 These are commonly used for tube mills and header dips.
We also manufacture solder bars to client's specification. Please call us to discuss your individual requirements.
